PepperFace Featured On Chicago’s WGN Channel 9
On February 22nd, PepperFace was given the awesome opportunity to be featured on Chicago’s very own WGN 9 evening news.
CEO Brian Pennington was interviewed by WGN’s Patrick Elwood. The interview took place at Chicago’s famed 606 trail, which is commonly used by runners and commuters alike. As an open and alternative commuting trail, this green space has become a popular route for many Chicagoans in the Bucktown neighborhood and surrounding communities.
It’s trails like this where PepperFace would be most useful. In a survey conducted by Runners World, an overwhelming half of women under 30 reported harassment. The survey questioned over 2,500 women.
Speaking of PepperFace, Brian mentioned that while the company sells a unique brand of pepper sprays, it is much more than that:
"We want to be an awareness symbol to help end violence against women, but also to provide resources for those unfortunate enough to have become a victim of violence."
